Steinway, Inc. |
Levien & Company managed the development of a new flagship location for Steinway, Inc., world-famous piano makers. The 19,000 SF project was a complete redesign and renovation of the first floor and lower level of 1133 Avenue of the Americas in mid-town Manhattan. Designed by Selldorf Architects, the new facility is a state-of-the-art performance space, retail location, and central meeting place for concert artists and patrons of the music world. Challenges that Levien successfully managed included varying acoustical treatment throughout the spaces, introduction of new lighting developed for the project, and continuous construction activities in the anchor location of an occupied midtown high rise.
