Philosophy & Approach

Successful capital projects require an Owner’s active participation.  The Owner has contractual obligations to the project team and a range of responsibilities in relation to the project's end-users, stakeholders, and governing authorities. Many Owners do not have the in-house resources or expertise to manage major capital projects or choose to focus those resources on their core business or mission.  Levien & Company acknowledges the Owner’s central role in the project and serves as the nucleus of activities on the Owner’s behalf.

As project manager, Levien & Company provides a collaborative approach to project management that benefits the entire team.  We organize the project, manage the day-to-day work of the design and construction teams, and document key decisions and activities.  Our approach allows even the most challenging projects to move forward on schedule and within budget.

Our role demands a comprehensive understanding of the latest project delivery techniques, construction methodologies and finance strategies, as well as sensitivity to the project goals and design objectives.  As an expert intermediary and advisor to the Owner, Levien delivers the oversight, coordination and reporting to put the Owner's best interests at the heart of every decision.
