Tyler H. Donaldson AIA

As Chief Operating Officer of Levien & Company, Tyler brings 40 years of experience in architecture and the construction industry to oversee many of Levien & Company's largest and most complex projects.

Since joining the firm in 2008, Tyler's projects have included six phases of design and construction at the Park Avenue Armory, renovation of the public amenity spaces for Jazz at Lincoln Center, and expansions and renovations at Trinity School, Friends Seminary School, and The Abraham Joshua Heschel School.  His extensive experience as a practicing architect and Associate Partner at Polshek Partnership Architects (now Ennead Architects) makes him particularly adept at collaborating with and managing design teams. Tyler also has tremendous team leadership skills, as demonstrated in every one of his projects and his role as the firm's COO.

During his 30-year tenure at Polshek, Tyler designed and managed numerous large museum, performing arts, educational and landmark buildings projects, several of which have been honored locally and nationally for design excellence.  His most notable projects include: The American Museum of Natural History - Rose Center for Earth and Space, Hall of Biodiversity, Hall of Planet Earth, and Hall of Ocean Life; The Newseum, a museum devoted to free expression and the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment, in Washington, DC; Cathedral of St. John Divine; the Smithsonian Institution, Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum; George Washington Hall at Phillips Academy Andover; and major renovation projects at Carnegie Hall and New York University.

Tyler is a licensed architect, and he received his M. Arch. from Columbia University.
